LEADERSHIP TRAINING - HIKING
Looking for something more than just an experience?! We are now running a Leadership Level 1 Hiking course through the Outdoor Council of Canada (OCC). We have a couple of staff who have been trained to lead this course and we’re really excited that we can be giving youth and adults the opportunity to take this course and get their certificate! The course is a two day course, costing $160 for two days and runs for those who are 16+. The total cost includes instruction, food and accommodation.
We take about 5-10 individuals per course, and once completed the individuals will receive their OCC Annual Membership for $35. For those who are 16-17yrs old they will be considered as an apprentice and once they turn 18 they will become a graduate with their Hiking Leadership Level 1 certificate. The certificate lasts a lifetime and it is becoming a great means to develop as a leader for those who are excited about the outdoors. There is also an option to run the winter module for one added day which extends the course to include winter environments. You can find more information at this link, http://www.outdoorcouncil.ca/LL1_Program and if you have any more questions about this please connect with us a email@example.com or by phone at 403-721-2202.
Keeping our campers, guests and staff safe is a priority at Frontier Lodge. We have been an accredited member of the Alberta Camping Association (ACA) for the last 20 years, and our staff are trained to meet or exceed ACA's high safety standards. All staff are required to have standard first aid and CPR training, and some have advanced wilderness first aid certification as well. Except for the annual Fat Tire Festival, the minimum age for participants is 11 years old.
If you are interested in booking your group please contact us by email at firstname.lastname@example.org or by phone at 403-721-2202. We look forward to hearing from you soon!
